Undoubtedly, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone keep finding ways to spend time with each other. After working together on three Sanjay Leela Bansali projects, Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela (2013), Bajirao Mastani (2015) and Padmaavat (2018), Deepika still wants more. But now she wishes to do a costume-free, regular love story with her rumoured boyfriend Ranveer Singh.

In a recent interview with Film Companion, Deepika revealed that she is dying to explore different genres and wants to do, what she says, a ‘regular’ film with her man. When asked if she will feel awkward working with Ranveer Singh without those heavy costumes, Deepika replied, “I am dying to explore a regular film with him with a contemporary story. Though Ram-Leela wasn’t a complete period film, it does take us to a certain space with its costumes, set design, etc. We have a lot more to explore and I am waiting for an opportunity.”

People loved the actress in her light-hearted film ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ opposite Ranbir Kapoor and the actress herself wants to jump into that space again. Deepika revealed that many people have asked her about doing a easy-breezy movie and she just can’t wait to grab the first opportunity she gets.

After the intense and high on drama film Padmaavat, Deepika has her heart wishing for a fun and light film. I hope all the filmmakers are listening to this.

The actress was supposed to start shooting for her next Vishal Bharadwaj film opposite Irrfan Khan but due to the actor’s ill health, the movie has been postponed indefinitely. The flick is supposedly based on a book written by S Hussain Zaidi called The Mafia Queens of Mumbai
