Christmas celebrations in Bollywood has always been huge and grand with stars attending varied parties and having fun to the fullest. However, Deepika Padukone chose not to follow the crowd and celebrated Christmas 2017 in Vienna where she attended midnight mass in a church for the first time. The 31-year-old actress reportedly celebrated Christmas in Vienna. Austria and posted a picture of the church on Instagram. Well, the actress surely knowns how to have fun in her own unique style amid Padmavati controversies.
"From my 1st ever midnight mass...Merry Christmas everyone," read Deepika's caption of the post that has garnered over 4 lakh likes.
A picture of Deepika roaming in the streets of Vienna has also gone viral across the internet. The Bollywood diva is seen wearing a black dress with a black overcoat, sunglasses and a black scarf hiding half her face except for her eyes.
In another picture, shared by the Cocktail actress, we can see the ceiling of the Vienna Opera House. Deepika captioned the pictures as, "opera- ‘a dramatic work in one or more acts, set to music for singers and instrumentalists’".
In 2017, Deepika spent most of her time in the United States filming her Hollywood debut xXx: Return of Xander Cage with Vin Diesel. It released in May but didn't perform well.
After xXx: Return of Xander Cage, Deepika began work on Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavati, which was scheduled to release on December 1 but couldn't after fringe outfits alleged that the film distorts history. Deepika Padukone plays the titular role in Padmavati which also co-stars Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor.
On a related note, Deepika will reportedly be working with Irrfan Khan in a untitled film, which will be directed by Vishal Bhardwaj.
