Deepika Padukone and Vikrant Massey are currently in New Delhi shooting for their upcoming film Chhapaak. For the film, Deepika will be seen with a disfigured face with the help of prosthetic makeup. Several pictures and videos have been leaked from the sets of Meghna Gulzar film. A couple of weeks ago, a video leaked on the social media in which Deepika and Vikrant are seen taking a bike ride in Delhi. Now, another video surfaced on the social media which had the actors coming to a venue by an auto-rickshaw. Vikrant Massey is carrying equipments while Deepika Padukone walks inside with her handbag on her shoulder. The video has been shared by Viral Bhayani on his Instagram account.
Deepika Padukone is playing the role of an acid attack survivor, inspired by Laxmi Agarwal who runs an organisation Stop Acid Attacks. This is the first time Vikrant Massey and Deepika are coming together for a project. The actress has returned on film sets after a sabbatical of one year. She was keeping busy with her wedding preparations with husband Ranveer Singh. Also, Chhapaak marks Deepika's production debut in Bollywood. She is co-producing the film with Meghna Gulzar. The film will release in January next year.
Talking about Meghna Gulzar, the maverick filmmaker has helmed many critically-acclaimed films like Talwar, Raazi and Filhaal. Last year, her film Raazi with Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal raked in around Rs 250 crore at the box office, making it a commercial hit.
