Crafting of Priyanka Chopra's Ralph Lauren gown is as dreamy as her wedding
Priyanka Chopra is a born star. From conquering Bollywood to becoming a global sensation, PeeCee did it all in style. The actress got married to her American singer beau Nick Jonas in December 2018 and we have to say, it was one of the lavish weddings we have seen last year. From the wedding venue to festivities and most importantly, her exquisite Ralph Lauren gown, Priyanka made sure to grab eyeballs with her royal wedding.
PeeCee wore a white custom-made Ralph Lauren gown for her Christian wedding and she looked ethereal. The long train added extra charm to her overall wedding look. Making of this 'one of a kind wedding gown' was not an easy task. In a video released on the Instagram page of Ralph Lauren, we can see the amount of effort and creativity that was put into making this beautiful artwork. The gown required 1,826 hours of handwork.
Let us tell you in detail. PeeCee's wedding gown had 32,000 pearlescent sequins, 5,600 seed beads and 11,632 Swarovski crystals. Not only it was beautifully embellished but Nick Jonas' name, her wedding date, mantra like Om Namaha Shivay were also embroidered on it. Check out the unseen videos.
''The strapless column dress worn beneath was embellished with more than two million pearlescent sequins to bring a sense of shimmering dimension to the overall look,'' a caption for one of the videos read.
Elaborating about the much-talked-about veil, the post mentioned, ''The sweeping, 75-foot veil she wore on the day of the ceremony was actually comprised of two different cuts of tulle—a shorter fingertip-length veil worn under the epically longer one, which was carried behind the bride by six attendants''.
Ever since their marriage, PeeCee and Nick are on a photo-sharing spree. They can't stop telling the world how happy and lucky they are to have each other as life partners. Their social media handles are filled with PDA moments and we just can't have enough of them. From road trip to family dinners, the couple makes sure to spend quality time with each other.
On the professional front, Priyanka will next be seen in Shonali Bose's The Sky Is Pink, in which she will feature along with Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim. PeeCee and Farhan are playing parents of Zaira. The movie is based on the life of Aisha Chaudhary, who became motivational speaker after being diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis at the age of 13.
