Veteran actress Sridevi’s demise came as a big shock for everybody. The lady died of accidental drowning in Dubai. Now, her uncle Venugopal Reddy has revealed to a Telugu news channel that the late actress was in lot of pain because of the financial instability of her husband Boney Kapoor. As per a DNA report, Boney lost lots of money and then Sridevi had to sell her properties to make up for the losses. It is also being said that the veteran actress, who took retirement from acting in 1997, was forced to return to the silver screen due to this reason.
The report further stated that Boney bankrolled a project that never got released and they were going through a tough phase. The lady sold her properties to clear the debts.
It is yet to be seen if Boney reacts to this news.
Lately, Sridevi’s ashes were immersed by Boney and Anil Kapoor in Haridwar. Her condolence meet was held today in Chennai. Sridevi was in Dubai to attend Mohit Marwah’s wedding when the accident took place. From Amitabh Bachchan to Shah Rukh Khan, many renowned faces of the silver screen attended the last rites of the actress.
