After Sridevi’s Asthi Visarjan in Rameswaram, Boney Kapoor and family will now fly to Haridwar to offer their prayers, latest reports suggest. Sridevi, who was last seen in the film Mom, died of accidental drowning in Dubai at 54. Recently, Sridevi’s ashes were immersed in the sea at Rameswaram in Tamil Nadu. Husband Boney Kapoor and daughters Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor carried our the Asthi Visarjan ritual. Now, the Kapoor family will be offering prayers for Sridevi at Haridwar tomorrow, according to a DNA report.

"Conducting prayers at Haridwar is a significant custom for Hindus, especially for those who are from North India. And Boney wants to ensure that he goes through the rituals at the holy place”, a source was quoted as saying to the daily.

Furthermore, the report said that instead of the prayers in Chennai being held on the 13th day, it is likely that the prayer meet will be held in Sridevi’s hometown on the 16th day, following her demise.

Following the funeral of screen legend Sridevi on Wednesday afternoon, the Kapoor, Ayyappan and Marwah families have released a joint statement thanking everyone for their love and support through their hours of grief. Sridevi was cremated with State Honours at the Vile Parle Seva Samaj Crematorium in Mumbai.

On night of February 24, only minutes before Sridevi’s death reports broke, Big B had shared an uncannily intuitive post saying, “Na jaane kyun, ek ajeeb si ghabrahat ho rahi hai” (Don’t know why, a strange anxiety has come over me)

Sridevi is survived by her husband Boney Kapoor and daughters Khushi and Janhvi.
