Motor-mouth Rakhi Sawant creates new controversy wherever she steps her foot. Recently, the actress ruffled some feathers when she offered her two cents on the ongoing Tanushree Dutta-Nana Patekar. Making some offensive remarks, Rakhi Sawant called Tanushree ‘Takli’ and drug-addict for levelling allegations against Nana Patekar. Dutta was replaced by Rakhi after she walked out of the film set. Her scorching remarks about Tanushree Dutta and her acceptance of Buddhism offended Bhim Army, a Dalit rights organisation. As a result, the organisation has sought an FIR under the atrocities act against Rakhi Sawant.
According to Sanjay Bhalerao, head of the south central division of the Bhim Army, Rakhi Sawant made several derogatory statements against Tanushree Dutta and her stint with yoga and Vipassana in 2010-2012. During this phase, Dutta shaved her hair off, at which Rakhi made insulting remarks.
“She went bald and took sanyas...who sits in the snowy mountains? Is it possible to do Vipassana without taking dope? Can anyone here sit in the snow without doing dope?,” she said while speaking to a news channel.
Rakhi Sawant even threatened to slap Tanushree Dutta for putting false accusations on Nana Patekar.

In his application, Bhalerao wrote, “Several from the Buddhist community turn to Vipassana for mental peace. To imply that it is not possible without doing drugs, and that all of us who undergo Vipassana take them, hurts our religious sentiments. Sawant should be booked for hurting religious sentiments and criminal intimidation.”
A police officer with the Oshiwara police confirmed that Mr Bhalerao has submitted an application seeking FIR against Rakhi Sawant. However, no FIR has been registered as yet.
