Being bald is so liberating, says Ayushmann Khurrana's wife Tahira Kashyap Khurrana

Writer-director and actor Ayushmann Khurrana's wife Tahira Kashyap, who was diagnosed with breast cancer and is going through the preventive mastectomy, has gone bald. She says it is liberating and feels good. On Wednesday, Tahira tweeted a photograph of her "new" self and wrote, "Hello world! That's a new me with the old self! Was getting tired of the extensions. Well this is how it is and it's so liberating, so much so that I don't have to duck the shower while bathing or while picking up the soap! Never thought I had to go bald, but this feels good."

Loving husband Ayushmann Khurrana re-tweeted Tahira's photograph and called her a "hottie". Ayushmann has been a constant support to his wife ever since she was diagnosed with cancer. He stood like a solid pillar with her and provided her with all the love and care. On September 22 last year, Tahira shared online that she was detected with DCIS (ductal carcinoma in situ) in her right breast with high grade malignant cells. She returned to work after mastectomy in 

A while back Tahira underwent her final chemotherapy sessions and she couldn't stop jumping out of joy. She thanked her followers for their prayers and best wishes. Sharing a series of boomerangs on Instagram, Tahira wrote, ''Can’t keep calm!!! Last and final chemo! Fuck yesss!! It’s been some journey. The learning has been immense, some of which, I know, I will realise with time. Thank you to each one who has been praying for me! Lots of love and prayers from my end to each one of you!
