Ayushmann Khurrana and Tahira Kashyap
Ayushmann Khurrana is currently riding high on the back-to-back success of his two films- AndhaDhun and Badhaai Ho. However, he is experiencing a personal low ever since his wife Tahira Kashyap was diagnosed with DCIS (ductal carcinoma in situ) in her right breast with high grade malignant cells. You can simply read this as stage 0 cancer. Now, in the latest post, Tahira has revealed she has been diagnosed with stage 1 cancer. In an emotional yet inspirational, Tahira wrote, ''That’s what you do when it shows up, show it the way out! I believe if an obstacle comes your way it is for you to beat the sh*t out of it & become a better version of yourself, which is a bit worn out but experienced, tattered but more wise, handicapped but better equipped!”
She further wrote that the better version of herself is now battling stage 1 cancer and she will be undergoing through 12 chemotherapy sessions. Hence, she will be donning cap from now onwards. She also thanked her husband and parents for being her constant support. On the professional front, she expressed her gratitude to Atul Kasbekar and others.
Earlier, in a tweet, Tahira shared a photograph in which she can be seen heading to her workplace in a car. She wrote, ''Work starts...preproduction. Happy Thanksgiving. Gratitude.'' Retweeting Tahira's post, Ayushmann wrote that he is proud of her.
On a related note, Tahira was diagnosed with stage 0 cancer on Ayushmann's birthday. However, instead of crying, the couple decided to battle it bravely. ''She was diagnosed on my birthday. We had to maintain a happy life state to deal with it. In fact, after we got to know about her condition, we went to see Manmarziyaan that evening. We told ourselves, ‘Okay, we’ve been diagnosed. We can’t go home and cry about it. It’s better to go for a film.’ So, we watched the film, came back and got the date for her operation,” she told Mid-Day.

Tahira and Ayushmann are parents to two children- Virajveer and Varushka.
