Ayushmann Khurrana celebrates with wife Tahira Kashyap after her final chemotherapy
Ayushmann Khurrana has been one of the most successful actors last year. His two films released back-to-back and did incredibly well at the box office. AndhaDhun and Badhaai Ho not only set the cash registers ringing but also amazed critics and viewers. However, the actor was left shocked and shattered after his wife Tahira Kashyap was diagnosed with cancer. Tahira is battling stage 1 cancer with utmost courage and determination. Ayushmann, too, kept on promoting his films despite such a heartbreaking news. Now, the couple has a reason to celebrate as Tahira's final chemotherapy session is over.
Tahira underwent her final chemotherapy sessions and she couldn't stop jumping out of joy. She thanked her followers for their prayers and best wishes. Sharing a series of boomerangs on Instagram, Tahira wrote, ''Can’t keep calm!!! Last and final chemo! Fuck yesss!! It’s been some journey. The learning has been immense, some of which, I know, I will realise with time. Thank you to each one who has been praying for me! Lots of love and prayers from my end to each one of you! For unversed, Tahira was diagnosed with cancer on Ayushmann's birthday but instead of weeping, the couple decided to fight it bravely. They celebrated the day as it was planned and went to watch Anurag Kashyap's Manmarziyaan in the evening. After their movie date, they took dates for operation.
On the professional front, Ayushmann has an interesting list of movies lined up. The actor will next be seen Ekta Kapoor's Dream Girl. Ayushmann announced the project in a quirky way. He also shared the first look of the movie in which he can be seen on a bike wearing saree. Check out the poster below:
His another movie is Amar Kaushik's Bala which will reunite him with his former co-star Bhoomi Pednekar. Produced by Dinesh Vijan, Bala will have the actor playing a prematurely balding guy, whereas, Bhumi will be seen as a dusky small-town girl.
