Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma are now officially man and wife. The Bollywood actress and cricketer couple tied the know on Monday in a private ceremony in Italy. As Devika Narain designed Virushka’s dreamy wedding in Tuscany, fans were treated to breath-taking wedding pictures of Virat and Anushka. While only the select few were part of the wedding festivities, it was one grand wedding. There was song and dance, there was love and there were some "Oh, so cute" moments as the two got married amidst the presence and blessings of family members, a few friends and priests in Italy as social media platforms. Both Anushka and Virat shared pictures on her Twitter accounts with a similar beautiful caption which reads, ''Today we have promised each other to be bound in love forever. We are truly blessed to share the news with you. This beautiful day will be made more special with the love and support of our family of fans & well wishers. Thank you for being such an important part of our journey.'' Speculations have been rife since the day Anushka was spotted with her family members and a priest at Mumbai airport.
In one of the viral videos, Anushka Sharma walking up to the stage for the pheras and then is warmly taken by the hand by Kohli to help her rise. Engagement ceremony
Before taking the ‘saat pheras’ at a dreamy location in Italy, Virushka (as their fans lovingly address then) exchanged the rings and committed to being with each other in their good and bad in life at the engagement ceremony.
After some candid clicks from the D-day came a series of pictures from their engagement ceremony where the would-be bride Anushka chose to wear a red velvet saree designed by designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee and the would-be groom Virat looked dapper in his three-piece suit.
Mehendi Ceremony
For her Mehndi, Anushka kept things simple yet charming, with a boho-inspired Sabyasachi outfit with shades of yellow and hot pink. Virat matched fuchsia pink textured silk Nehru jacket detailed with the Sabyasachi House blazer buttons.
