Amitabh Bachchan questions Shah Rukh Khan for ignoring Badla's success; SRK comes back with wittiest reply
Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu's crime-thriller film Badla was a sleeper hit at the box office. Despite the many new releases, this Sujoy Ghosh film continued to do wonders at the box office. In short, Badla is declared to be a commercial hit, raking in around Rs 135 crore at the box office. A month later after its release, lead actor and megastar Amitabh Bachchan raised a question on why the producer (Shah Rukh Khan) and the distributors are silent about Badla's success. He wrote a lengthy tweet also quoting the box office success of Badla. Without naming anyone, Big B talked about how Badla's success is being snubbed by everyone including Red Chillies' owner Shah Rukh Khan.
But Shah Rukh Khan, being the wittiest of the lot, took it in a light-hearted manner and tweeted in the most perfect manner. He wrote, "Sir hum toh wait kar rahein hain ki aap party kab de rahein hain hum sabko! We r waiting outside Jalsa every nite!"
To this, Amitabh Bachchan wrote, "oye .. फ़िल्म में काम हमने kiya , produce आपने किया , promotions में निस्वार्थ योगदान humne diya , अब party भी हम दें !!!??? .. outside Jalsa every night koi nahin aata !!"
Their exchange on Twitter reminded us of two best friends talking to each other about a pending party. Both are asking each other to throw a party for Badla's success. Let's see if it's Amitabh Bachchan or Shah Rukh Khan who will throw a success bash for the film's surprise success.
Badla is an official Bollywood remake of Spanish thriller film An Invisible Guest. It has Taapsee Pannu, Amitabh Bachchan and Amrita Singh in important roles. It is directed by Kahaani fame director Sujoy Ghosh, and marks Big B's second collaboration with the maverick director.
