Alia Bhatt and Tiger Shroff’s The Hook Up Song from Student of the Year 2 has a Ranbir Kapoor connection

The actress announced over the weekend that the next song from the upcoming Bollywood film Student Of The Year 2 will be out on Tuesday with feature Alia and Tiger. Their couple name #Talia has been trending on the social media ever since. On the other hand, The Hook Up Song sounds much similar to Anushka Sharma and Ranbir Kapoor’s The Break Up song. Now, director Punit Malhotra has revealed that the makers have taken the inspiration from the Ae Del Hai Mushkil song.

Going by the reports in DNA , Alia's Hook Up Song has a fascinating connection with a hit song featuring her boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor. Director Punit Malhotra revealed that the upcoming Student Of The Year 2 song took a cue from Ae Dil Hai Mushkil's Break Up Song. He said, “We took the cue from there, and that’s where the hook up idea came from.” For the unversed, The Hook Up Song is written by Kumaar, who has penned songs like Kartik Aaryan starrer Tera Yaar Hoon Main and Zero's Heer Badnaam. Music composer duo Vishal-Shekar have given the music for the song.

Punit Malhotra also added, "When I spoke to Alia, she said, ‘I will rehearse non-stop.’ She was already juggling two films at that time. But she gave her 200 per cent to this song," Punit shared. "The thought of getting one of the ex-students back in this film was the germ for it. So, we started building on it." While sharing the glimpses form the song, Alia Bhatt wrote, “Hello there! #HookUpSong out this Tuesday! #Talia #SOTY2” On the other hand, Tiger Shroff wrote, “Hooked and booked...to the track we're releasing on Tuesday! #HookUpSong” Check out-

Student Of The Year 2 marks the debut of Tara Sutaria and Ananya Panday. The film is all set to hit the screens on May 10.
