Alia Bhatt speaks up on break-up with Sidharth Malhotra, says I have lot of love and respect for Sid
It has been a while since Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra parted ways after dating each other for a couple of years. Both debuted in Bollywood with Karan Johar’s Student of the Year and the sparks flew. Ever since then, they stayed together until last year. They maintained a tight-lip on their break-up, but Sidharth recently spoke about their split while talking to Karan Johar’s chat show Koffee With Karan and said that he has not met Alia Bhatt since breaking up last year.
Reacting to his statement, Alia Bhatt told DNA in an interview. She said, “Yes, I have watched the episode. Sid and I did meet actually. They had shot the episode much before we met so he must have said that. But we have obviously met recently and it was extremely normal.”
Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra met during their journey to Delhi where they went along with Alia’s boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor and other celebrities to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in January. According to Alia, there was no bad vibe when they met again. She said, “I have a lot of love and respect for Sid. We started off together in the industry. I have known him for a long time and there’s too much history between us. Honestly, there will never be issues. I have nothing but just positivity in my heart for him. I’m sure he wishes the same as well. We have witnessed several milestones of our lives together. He spoke about meeting and chatting and we were fine. There are no bad vibes.”
Currently, Alia Bhatt is dating her Brahmastra co-star Ranbir Kapoor. They were working together in Ayan Mukerji’s film when sparks flew between them. Recently, they celebrated Valentine’s Day together with a private dinner.
