Alia Bhatt says NO to SS Rajamouli’s RRR starring Jr NTR and Ram Charan?
Alia Bhatt has proved her acting mettle in a number of films like Raazi, Highway, Gully Boy and others. The actress has become the most desirable for all the filmmakers in Bollywood and even Bahubali fame director SS Rajamouli is even ready to pay a big amount to have the actress in his next film RRR. The buzz has it that the ace filmmaker approached Alia Bhatt to cast her in his next film RRR starring Jr NTR and Ram Charan but she refused the film considering her jam-packed schedule.
Many names have popped up from Bollywood to play the female lead in the RRR film and Alia Bhatt name is also one of them. The film is due to be made in Telugu with an expected dubbed version in Hindi as well. But then Alia has refused that film claiming a tight schedule. A source close to the actress told Mumbai Mirror, “She’s not free at all. She has to promote her upcoming film Gully Boy and then promote her next film Kalank. Then, she has to be shooting for Sadak 2, followed by Takht. She also has a discussion to do a film for Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari.”
There is no denying that Alia Bhatt is already working 20 hours of the day to complete her film. She was infact shooting for Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra and Karan Johar’s Kalank simultaneously. Other than Alia, Bollywood diva Parineeti Chopra’s name also popped up to play the female lead in RRR film. Going by the reports in India Today, Parineeti Chopra has agreed to be the part of Rajampouli’s film but she has one condition. Parineeti, reportedly, wants to be paid a huge fee and has demanded the same from the makers. RRR makers are currently in talks over the same and are planning to lock Parineeti as the female lead of the film, as they don’t want to delay the shooting.
Interestingly, Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn has also joined the cast of Baahubali director SS Rajamouli’s RRR as a guest appearance. It was revealed by a source close to the actor to PTI. Ajay Devgn recently did a cameo for Ranveer Singh starrer Simmba. "He is doing a cameo appearance, it is an interesting character. He will shoot for it after 'Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior'," source close to the actor told PTI.
RRR has already created quite a buzz in the showbiz since it is another period drama, set in 1920, after Rajamouli’s blockbuster classic Baahubali. It is being made on a whopping budget of Rs 300 crore and the makers are leaving no stone unturned to create a huge set in Hyderabad. International fitness trainer Lloyd Stevens has also been roped in to train the lead actors of this mega project.
