Alia Bhatt, who is basking on the success of her just-released film Gully Boy, attended the 4th edition of Outlook Business Women of Worth event in the city where she was asked to respond on Bollywood queen Kangana Ranaut’s accusation of her not voicing out her political thoughts in public. Recently, at the success bash of her film Manikarnika, Kangana said, "I was watching Ranveer and Alia's interview where they said, 'Why should we speak about politics? We haven't done anything.' It doesn't work like that. You have to be responsible."
Reacting to her statement Alia said, “I definitely don’t have that ability to speak as candidly as Kangana does and I really really respect her for that. And maybe in a way she is right that sometimes we do hold back.” She further added, “My dad always says that there are already so many opinions in the world, the world can do with one less opinion. So I have an opinion but I keep it to myself. But kudos to her because she genuinely speaks really well.” Watch the video here-
Kangana Ranaut not just slammed Alia Bhatt but also attacked Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh for being diplomatic about their thoughts. She said, "I feel you shouldn't distance yourself from issues of the country. In a democracy, you should speak about how the government has performed and also speak about your political inclination as a youth of this country. You cannot say why should I talk about politics when I get all the facilities. I don't understand why they think of their career so much that they don't have anything to do with their own country?"
On the other hand, Alia Bhatt is enjoying a lot of attention as the first look of her two biggest films is surfacing on the internet. The actress treated her fans with the official logo of Ayan Mukerji’s next Brahmastra yesterday and today, the makers of Kalank will drop the teaser of the film.
