Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor made sure that they started the year together. After Ranbir Kapoor left for the US to be by his father Rishi Kapoor’s side, girlfriend Alia Bhatt followed. Just before the New Year’s Eve, Alia flew to New York to spend time with boyfriend’s family. The pictures of the close-knit celebrations show the Raazi actress sitting very close to Ranbir while the Kapoor family members were holding their wine glasses. Alia looked very close to Ranbir’s family. Seated in the centre was Rishi Kapoor, who is in New York since September for his medical treatment.
On Saturday, another picture started doing rounds on the internet. In this new picture, Ranbir and Alia are not alone. They are joined by Rima Jain (Ranbir’s aunt), Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, Neetu Kapoor and little Samara. The picture seems to be from the same outing where Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt were clicked together by fans.

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt have been going around for a year now. As per the reports, Ranbir proposed to her on New Year’s Eve last year. The couple grew close to each other while filming for Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra. Earlier, Ranbir was dating Katrina Kaif, whom he broke up with before shooting Jagga Jasoos.

Recently, while talking to a leading daily, Alia Bhatt spoke about her relationship with Ranbir Kapoor. She said, “It's not as if a relationship is an achievement. It is just a part - and a very important part - of my life. It's seamless as well as beautiful, and should be celebrated when it has to be. Right now, it should just be left on its own and kind of kept in a corner where it can stay safe and warm."
