Alia Bhatt, who recently celebrated her 25th birthday on the sets of Brahmastra has suffered an accident. She injured her right shoulder and arm while shooting for an action sequence for the fantasy drama. Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Mouni Roy will be seen doing high-octane stunts in Ayan Mukerji's directorial.
Alia is in a lot of pain and has been advised bed rest for 15 days. ''The team was shooting for a scene when Alia fell and hurt herself. She has injured her right shoulder and arm. There’s a clot on her arm, so she has been advised bed rest. She is in a lot of pain. Her right arm is bandaged and held up in a sling, so she can’t exert it or her shoulder for the next 15 days,'' a source informed DNA.
The Brahmastra team was supposed to return to India by the end of March, however, after the incident, there is no such clarity yet. Now the makers are looking for options to shoot scenes with Alia. Though Alia can't perform any stunts, she can definitely do close-up scenes.
Brahmastra is reportedly being made on a whopping budget of over Rs 150 crore. While Mouni Roy plays the antagonist, megastar Amitabh Bachchan is also playing a pivotal role in the superhero film. In one of the interviews, director Ayan Mukerji said, ''It's the biggest project of my life. All my hopes are pinned on this film. I hope it becomes the biggest success... I am very excited about the cast but I hope the film gets even bigger than the cast.''
