Alia Bhatt who recently wrapped up the shooting schedule of Meghna Gulzar’s Raazi, now has two big projects in her kitty. She will next appear in Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy which will star Ranveer Singh opposite her and also Brahmastra, which has Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role. She recently shared a picture on her Instagram showing her reading the script of one of these two movies. She captioned it, ‘Gully Boy and Brahmastra prep time’.
Brahmastra is scheduled to release in 2019, marking the beginning of a trilogy. It stars Ranbir Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan and Alia Bhatt in pivotal roles. It is being produced by Dharma Productions.
Gully Boy is being directed by Zoya Akhtar. It stars Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt. It will be the first time Ranveer and Alia will be sharing screen space. Singh will play the role of a rapper while Alia is his love interest.
Raazi is a cinematic adaption of Harinder Sikka’s novel ‘Calling Sehmat’. Vicky Kaushal will be seen opposite Alia Bhatt in the film. Raazi will mark the second directorial venture of Meghna Gulzar, who helmed criticially-acclaimed film Talvar, which starred Irrfan Khan. The actress completed shooting for Raazi a few days ago.
