Akshay Kumar, who is one of the top names of Bollywood today, had been rejected once when he auditioned for Aamir Khan’s Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar. The actor was not just rejected but even called ‘crap’. Can you believe it? Well, it is true and Akshay Kumar himself revealed it.
The actor is currently busy promoting his upcoming sports drama Gold with co-star Mouni Roy when he opened up to Mid-Day about this instance. Akshay Kumar revealed that he auditioned for a role in Aamir Khan’s cult classic Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar but was rejected. He said, “Apna screen test diya maine, for Deepak Tijori’s role. And they didn’t like it. And, apparently, I was crap, so they removed me.” The role was later played by actor Deepak Tijori.
Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander is considered one of the 90s best film. It was not only a success amongst the fans but was a favorite amongst critics as well. In fact, it is considered Aamir Khan’s best performance.
Talking about Akshay Kumar, the actor has been enjoying success and praise from all corners. It is currently promoting his upcoming film Gold and has more good projects in his kitty. He will be next seen in Housefull 4, 2.0 and Kesari.
Directed by Reema Kagti, Gold also stars Kunal Kapoor as Samrat, Mouni Roy as Monobina Das, Tapan's Wife, Amit Sadh as Raghubir Pratap Singh, Vineet Kumar Singh as Imtiaz Shah, Sunny Kaushal as Himmat Singh and Nikita Dutta. The movie will hit the screen on August 15.
