Akshay Kumar celebrated Republic Day by going for ‘patriotic hike’ with wife Twinkle Khanna & daughter Nitara
Akshay Kumar gave us major patriotism goals as the actor celebrated the 70th Republic Day of our country by spending quality time with his family and going on a ‘patriotic hike’. The actor already has a deep connection with Indian history as he has starred in many films that chronicle the important events in India’s freedom struggle. On Saturday, Akshay Kumar yet again treated his fans with a picture of his family time as they celebrate the national holiday by going for a hike.
Taking to his Instagram, Akshay shared a picture with wife Twinkle Khanna and daughter Nitara in which they were seen on the way to their hike with the Indian flag in their hands. He wrote, “Woke up at the crack of dawn and went hiking with the family, high on the #RepublicDay spirit.” Wife Twinkle Khanna also shared a picture from the hike and captioned it as, “A rather patriotic hike this morning with our flags waving in the wind! Other than sharing the picture with his family, Akshay Kumar paid tribute to the 21 sikhs who fought 10,000 invaders almost 122 years ago with a new poster from his upcoming film Kesari. He wrote, “Happy Republic Day. It’s our #70thRepublicDay but our men have been fighting for the country since time unknown. 122 years ago, 21 Sikhs fought against 10000 invaders. #KESARI is their story, in cinemas on March 21.”
Akshay Kumar will be seen as the protagonist in the film and it also features Parineeti Chopra in lead role. The film is based on the Battle of Saragarhi. It is produced by filmmaker Karan Johar. Earlier announcing the wrap of Kesari, Akshay wrote, ‘’And it’s a wrap for #Kesari...a film which swells up my chest with immense pride. Get ready to witness the bravest battle ever fought on 21st March, 2019.’’
