Akshay Kumar and Shah Rukh Khan is one hero Jodi that fans are eagerly waiting to see together on the big screen. While Bollywood Badshah SRK was recently asked if he is eager to collaborate with the Khiladi Kumar, he wittily replied by saying, “What do I say to this? I don’t wake up as early as him.” But now it seems that a movie starring Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar is on cards. Malayalam film Kodathi Samaksham Balan Vakeel starring Dileep released recently and has been garnering much praise and applaud from the audience. Since the film is such a git in the south, the makers of the film are planning to have Bollywood remake and star the two biggest stars of Bollywood.
According to a report in Silverscreen, Kodathi Samaksham Balan Vakeel director Unni Krishnan is already in talks with Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar for the remake of the film. The report quoted the director as saying "Viacom (the production company) is considering remaking the movie and discussions are in the initial stages. We are talking to both Akshay Kumar and Shah Rukh Khan for starring in the movie." The remake could well be a possibility since the same production house bankrolled the original film as well.
The film is said to be a thriller starring Dileep who played the role of a lawyer who stammers which hampers his life to a great extent. Kodathi Samaksham Balan Vakeel also stars Mamta Mohandas in the female lead role. The film is garnering great reviews from critics as well as the audience and is also clocking good numbers at the box office.
Talking about collaborating with Akshay Kumar, Shah Rukh Khan in an interview with DNA said, “I go to sleep when Akshay is waking up. His day starts early. By the time I start working, he is packing up and going home. So he can put in more hours of work. I’m a nocturnal person. Not many people are fond of shooting at night like me.”
The actor even added that if they do indeed work together, they will never meet on the sets. “It will be fun to act with Akshay. Dono set pe hi nahin milenge. Woh jaa raha hoga aur main aa raha hounga (laughs). He’ll be leaving the set and I’ll be coming in. I would like to work like Akshay and with him, but our timings won’t match.”
