Ajay Devgn reveals his plans of joining politics, says ‘I am uncomfortable around the crowd’

Ajay Devgn is busy promoting his upcoming film De De Pyaar De along with his leading ladies Rakul Preet Singh and Tabu. During one of the interviews, the actor was asked if he is also planning to follow the path of his actor friends Sunny Deol and Urmila Matondkar and will join politics. The actor revealed that he has no plans of joining politics and the reason is simple- he is very shy. Bollywood actors like Sunny Deol, Urmila Matondkar, Hema Malini and others are contesting in the   ongoing Lok Sabha elections

While talking to DNA about his plans of joining politics, Ajay Devgn said, "I'm too shy for politics. I am uncomfortable around a crowd; almost claustrophobic. Though I’m at ease in front of the camera, I’m an introvert otherwise. I may not be able to justify my job." He further said, "You can’t be a good politician if you are too shy to go out there and actually spend time on ground zero."

Ajay Devgn has always been the man of few words. From promoting his films among the fans to interviews, the actor has always managed to charm them all with few words and extra-ordinary charm. According to Ajay, politics is a people’s profession and one can’t do justice to their job unless they interact with the public and connect to them. The actor feels that he cannot do justice to a role of a politician since he is shy around people.

Ajay was also asked about his views on Sunny Deol and Urmila Matondkar who are contesting the elections this year. Giving his best wishes to them, the De De Pyaar De actor said, "I am sure they have thought their decision through before taking such a huge step in the direction of public service. I sincerely hope they are able to bring about a change."

Ajay Devgn, Rakul Preet Singh and Tabu starrer De De Pyaar De was supposed to hit the theaters on May 17. However, the makers have decided to shift the release date and now it will hit the screen one day prior on May 16.
