Bollywood’s one of the most renowned filmmaker Subhash Ghai, who is known for his excellent cinematic works in Karz, Hero, Karma, Saudagar and Taal, rang in his 73rd birthday recently. On this special day, his Taal actress Mansi aka Aishwarya Rai Bachchan surprised the filmmaker in a rather special way. She dropped by at Ghai’s acting institute Whistling Woods to wish him on his birthday.
Subhash Ghai was overwhelmed filmmaker took to Twitter to share the picture of the celebrations. Posting the picture, he wrote, “How real friends surprise u is always a treat. So did my favourite star ashwarya rai bachchan by her surprise presence on eve of my birthday in a surprise party by my team @Whistling_Woods @MuktaArtsLtd @MuktaA2Cinemas on 24 January She is always gracious indeed."
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Subhash Ghai worked only in a single movie Taal back in 1999. It was a successful flick in India as well as overseas. It became the first Indian film to reach the top 20 on Variety’s box office list. Taal was also a hit at the box office in India, becoming the third-highest grossing film of the year 1999. Also, Manisha Koirala and Mahima Chaudhary were Ghai’s first choice for the role of Mansi, but the film later went to Aishwarya Rai. The film was a game changer for Aishwarya Rai.
Aishwarya Rai is currently working with director Atul Majrekar’s Fanne Khan opposite Anil Kapoor. It also has Rajkummar Rao in lead role.
