Abhishek Bachchan was furious with Vivek Oberoi after tweet on Aishwarya Rai Bachchan
Vivek Oberoi has been ruling the headlines for the last couple of days, not because of his upcoming film PM Narendra Modi but for his controversial tweet. The actor tweeted a meme on Monday to share a meme featuring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s love life. While the actor though he was funny, there was hardly anyone else in the country who laughed at his joke. In fact, soon after the meme surfaced on the internet, Vivek Oberoi faced the heat from all corners. On one hand, Twitterati showered their wrath on him, they also demanded Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s husband Abhishek Bachchan to take a stand for her. Now the latest report suggests that Abhishek Bachchan was very furious with Vivek Oberoi after his tweet on Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, but the actress calmed him down.
Going by the reports in TOI, Abhishek Bachchan lost his cool when he saw Vivek Oberoi’s tweet. He was very furious and angry with the actor but when he got on the call with wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, she calmed him down and advised him to give the disparaging tweet a royal ignore. Aishwarya was in the French Riviera attending the Cannes Film Festival 2019 when she got to know about the tweet. Well, the actress was smart enough to understand that there is no point reacting to a supposed ‘publicity stunt’ by Vivek Oberoi and maintain their family’s dignity.
On the related note, soon after Vivek Oberoi faced the heat from the fans on his tweet, he took it down the next day and even apologized for it. Vivek Oberoi was even slapped with a notice by the National Commission for Women (NCW) and was also asked to respond for his 'misogynistic' tweet on the exit polls as well. The panel straight away called the tweet 'extremely offensive and unethical'. Before that, the Maharashtra State Women's Commission (MSWC) had also found his post disrespectful to women.
