Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan, who is prepping up for the release of his comeback film, Manmarziyaan, recently attended prayer meet of Rajan Nanda, father-in-law of sister Shweta Nanda. Rajan Nanda, late Escorts Group Chairman passed away on Sunday and his prayer meet was held on August 7. Several Bollywood celebrities marked their presence at the meet.
While Aishwarya and Abhishek arrived early in Delhi to be present at his funeral, Amitabh Bachchan, who was shooting in Bulgaria also rushed back to India. Besides Bachchan family, the Kapoors were also present at the prayer meet. From Rishi Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Randhir Kapoor to Karisma Kapoor and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, celebs offered their condolences to the grieving family.
However, a video from the prayer meet has gone viral and it features Abhishek Bachchan smiling. As soon as the video hit the internet, netizens started trolling the actor for 'being happy' on the sombre occasion. From passing filthy remarks to calling the prayer meet 'a fashion party', trolls stooped down extremely low.
However, there were also few who countered trolls and supported Abhishek. ''I’d say some of your opinions are loony, and very rude to say the least. In fact your opinions are far worse than his smile. He’s meeting his sister in a normal and natural manner. There is no melodrama and fake expressions. And certainly no laughter. Get a life folks. Mind your own hearts and business !,'' wrote one user.
This isn't the first time a celebrity has been trolled for smiling at such occasion. Earlier, Jacqueline Fernandez was trolled when her pictures from Sridevi's prayer meet emerged on social media. The actress was all smiles while heading to pay last respect to the veteran actress.
On a related note, Manmarziyaan is all set to hit theaters on September 14.
