Abhijeet Bhattacharya is in legal trouble for abusing a woman

Famous Bollywood playback singer, Abhijeet Bhattacharya has landed in a legal trouble as a woman filed a case against him for abusing her.

The woman said that she was abused and harassed during a telephonic interview with the singer.

A First Information Report  (FIR) has been filed against the singer and a case has been registered in Amoli police station, Mumbai.

To be precise, the case was filed under section 509 (Word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) and 506 (Criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

However, Abhijeet denied all the allegations and in return said that the woman threatened him in order to extort money.

“She has been threatening me and others to extort money. I have given a commercial place on rent. My tenants were getting some work done, and she objected to it. Being the owner of the place, I intervened in it," the singer said.

But as police told the Hindustan Times, “The woman had an argument with the singer over some drilling work being done in the society. She claims that she was abused by him. We have registered a case and will be investigating the case further."

Well, to be caught in a controversy isn't a new thing for Abhijeet as per his previous records!
