Today is the 78th birth anniversary of much-loved Ghazal maestro Jagjit Singh. Born in Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan, Jagjit Singh revived and popularised Ghazals in India and abroad. From Tum Itna Jo Muskura Rahe Ho to Woh Kaagaz Ki Kashti, Jagjit Singh rendered many gems. He even crooned some great devotional tracks. Unfortunately, he suffered a brain hemorrhage on September 23, 2011. After staying in coma for over two weeks, he breathed his last on October 10.
