2017 has been a fantastic year for small-budget movies at Bollywood. With big-budget films failing miserably at the box-office, 2017 has made Bollywood usher into the era of content-driven cinemas. So far, forthcoming year 2018 seems to be a promising one. Not only we have some good cinemas such as PadMan, Aiyaary, Gully Boy in the kitty but these movies will also treat us with their fresh pairing. Ranveer Singh, Katrina Kaif
The most energetic and fun-filled actor of Bollywood, Ranveer Singh, who is waiting for the release of his magnum opus, Padmavati is rumoured to have signed Kabir Khan's sports biopic' 83. While Ranveer will play Kapil Dev, Katrina will be seen in the role of his wife, Romi Dev.
Kartik Aaryan, Taapsee Pannu
Kartik who was last seen in Guest iin London is rumoured to be doing a film with Taapsee Pannu titled Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga. Directed by Amar Kaushik, it is supposed to be a heist film. Produced by Rajkumar Gupta, the story will revolve around diamond heist.
Kriti Sanon, Diljit Dosanjh
Kriti Sanon has reunited with Raabta director Dinesh Vijan for a comedy film. Kriti, whose last film was Bareily Ki Barfi will be paired along with Diljit Dosanjh in the film. Titled Arjun Patiala, reports say that Kriti will play the role of a journalist while Diljit will be a quirky, small town guy. It will be shot in Punjab and will go on floors from February 2018.
Jacqueline Fernandez, Sushant Singh Rajput
We can definitely call this pairing, a stylish one. Jacqueline and Sushant will be seen in Dharma Productions' Drive and they have already started shooting for it. Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, the movie reportedly revolves around race. The duo has shared many pictures from the sets on their social media accounts.
Sidharth Malhotra, Rakul Preet Singh
Sidharth Malhotra will next be seen in Neeraj Pandey's Aiyaary and opposite him will be Rakul Preet Singh. Also starring Manoj Bajpayee, the story is inspired from real life incidents and has been mostly shot in Kashmir, London and Delhi-NCR.
Varun Dhawan, Anushka Sharma
The next fresh pair you will get to see in the upcoming year is of Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma. The duo will be seen spreading the message of 'Make in India' with their flick 'Sui Dhaaga- Made in India'. Directed by Sharat Katariya and written by Maneesh Sharma, the movie will release on Gandhi Jayanti 2018.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Rajkummar Rao
Aishwarya Rai, who is once again set to spread her charm with Atul Manjrekar's Fanne Khan, will be seen romancing Rajkummar Rao in the film. Produced by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, the movie also has Anil Kapoor in pivotal role. Sharing his feelings about working with Aishwarya, Rajkummar said, ''I haven't had the chance to shoot with her but had reading and a few workshops sessions with her. There is a love angle between us which I am looking forward to but I am nervous for it, I will have to romance the world's most beautiful woman.''
Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt
Ranveer and Alia whose crackling chemistry was evident in a TV commercial will next be seen in Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boy. Not only this, as per a trade analyst, if possible you may also seen this jodi again in Rohit Shetty's Simmba. Gully Boy revolves around the lives of Mumbai-based rappers Divine and Naezy.
Akshay Kumar, Radhika Apte
Akshay Kumar is currently experimenting with roles. 2018 is entirely his year- from PadMan to Gold, the actor will entertain his fans with different characters. R Balki's PadMan has Radhika Apte who will be playing the role of Akshay's wife in the movie. The flick which is a biopic on entrepreneur, Arunachalam Muruganantham will release on December 26, 2028
Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal
The oven-fresh pairing of Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal is one of the most-awaited jodis of 2018. Meghana Gulzar's Raazi which features Vicky as a Pakistani army officer and Alia as a Kashmiri woman married to him, promises to be one of the content-driven cinemas of the forthcoming year.
