New Delhi, June 1: Ranbir-Deepika's romance in ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' has taken Box-Office collection by storm raking 19.45 crore on opening day making it Ranbir Kapoor's and this year's biggest opening till date.
Surpassing Saif Ali Khan's Race 2 Box office collection of Rs. 15.12 cr on opening day, YJHD has set a new record not only in India but overseas too as far as Ranbir Kapoor's earlier release of Barfi and Rokstar are concerned.
Directed by Ayan Mukerji ‘YJHD' over collection as per Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh are as follows:
"UK: YJHD- Fri £ 118,159, Barfi £ 229,783 [weekend], Rockstar £ 184,592.
AUSTRALIA: YJHD-Fri A$ 69,501, Barfi A$ 138,257 [weekend], Rockstar A$ 99,676 [weekend].
NEW ZEALAND: YJHD-Fri NZ$ 20,028, Barfi NZ$ 22,815 [weekend], Rockstar NZ$ 21,547 [weekend].
UAE: Thu AED 800,000. Barfi Thu was AED 450,000" tweets Taran Adarsh.
The flick too gave a tough competition to Salman starrer Dabangg 2 but just missed out to beat his biggest opening collection of Rs 21.10 cr.
And with no competition this weekend, Rabir magic is expected to strike gold by entering the elite club of Rs. 100 cr.
