New Delhi: Shooting for the sequel of Anees Bazmee's 2007 film ‘Welcome' is in full swing. The film is titled ‘Welcome Back' and its on set pics were revealed by Anil Kapoor on his Twitter account.
Anil Kapoor who played a don Majnu Bhai in ‘Welcome' is reprising his role in the sequel. The actor tweeted, “#welcomeback We Are Coming!” along with a pic of the set.
Few other pics from the sets were also revealed few days back and making rounds on social networking websites and other media platforms.
‘Welcome' released in 2007 was one of the most successful films of the year. The film gained positive critical reviews. It succeeded in crossing Rs 100 crore mark, which was a very big deal a few years back.
The director of the film Anees Bazmee wanted to make the sequel of the film few years back but due to the passing of Feroz Khan the film was delayed.
Naseeruddin Shah will play the role of Feorz Khan in ‘Welcome Back'.
While Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor are reprising their roles of Uday Shetty and Majnu Bhai respectively, Akshay Kumar has been replaced by John Abraham in the film. The lead actress of the previous film Katrina Kaif has also been replaced by Shruti Hassan.
Pasresh Rawal will also reprise his role of Dr. Ghunghroo in the film.
‘Welcome Back' is being shot at various locations in including Dubai.
The film is expected to start the laugh riot in March 2015. We wish ‘Welcome Back' succeeds in amusing us more than its prequel did.
