Mumbai: Yesteryear actress Sadhana in her old age is fighting to live a peaceful life and has sought help from BJP leader Shaina NC to protect her from builder's threat, reports Mid Day.
Last month, Sadhana had accused her builder of trying to pressure her into vacating the Santacruz house owned by Asha Bhosle where she had resided for the last 50 years.
The veteran star alleged that she had to undergo experiences such as breaking of her toilet wall, unknown people camping in her lawn, urinating in her compound and flinging of cowdung in her garden.
Sadhana accused her builder of trying to pressure her into vacating her Santacruz house (R) owned by Asha Bhosle where she had resided for the last 50 years.
The most recent act by those who want her to vacate the house was to send three women, who barged into her house and threatened to kill her. They also cut off her water supply.
Sadhana found no respite even after lodging an FIR against the builder at Santacruz police station almost a month ago.
With no action being taken, she approached BJP national executive committee member Shaina NC for help. Sadhana said that the duo will be meeting Commissioner of Police Sanjeev Dayal to complain about the harassment.
"I'm an old widow and live in an all-women household at my place. I've paid rent for this place till December this year and nobody has the right to demand that I leave this place. No one has come forward to help me. Even the police have shown lack of interest," said Sadhana.
Sadhana claims that the builder wants to redevelop the compound regarding which negotiations were going on with Asha Bhosle for the last two years, though nothing was finalized.
The builder now claims right over the property. Bhosle has not come to the fore until now. "As a true Mumbaikar, I'm worried for senior citizens of our city," said Shaina NC. Sadhana's case should be fought and we should set an example that such cases can be won only with the support of media, police and not with the power of money."
