He wrote the truth behind his bond with Rohit on Twitter:
Rohit Shetty's ‘Dilwale' saw Varun in the role of Shah Rukh Khan's younger brother. He was cast opposite Kriti Sanon. Before Varun, there were reports that Shah Rukh and Kajol were also upset with the movie's reception at box office. The film opened to mostly bad reviews and did not rake money as expected from it. It also faced tough competition at the box office from Sanjay Leela Bhansali's ‘Bajirao Mastani'.
Varun will next be seen in his brother Rohit Dhawan's directorial venture "Dishoom" also starring Jacqueline Fernandez and John Abraham.
