New Delhi: While over five flicks released this week, none could generate reasonable revenue. A mixture of satire, comedy, romance and thrill is available but audience didn't seem influenced with any of them.

Zed Plus despite being critically acclaimed by critics is panned by audience. Within two days of its release the movie has earned merely Rs 27 lacs, according to a leading daily, Koimoi.

The movie starring Mona Singh and Adil Hussain wasn't in buzz prior its release moreover, lack of any major star cast is also considered the reason as to why the movie performed poor at box office.

Zid, however, has received all the more negative reviews but considering its erotic genre, it carried on a better momentum at box office. Starring Mannara, Karanvir Sharma and Shraddha Das, Zid on the opening day collected Rs 2.82 cr but witnessed a slight fall in its collection on Saturday where is garnered just Rs 2.74 cr taking the two days collection to Rs 5.56 cr nett.

Leading ahead is the Dharma Production's ‘Ungli' but not with much impressive collection. The movie starring Emraan Hashmi, Randeep Hooda, Kangana Ranaut and Sanjay Dutt, after 3.6 cr collection on Friday witnessed a slight growth on Saturday making Rs 4 cr nett. Ungli's two days collection now stands at Rs 7.6 cr in India.

Being Sunday today, this Rensil D'Silva's directorial is expected to make better collection but nothing could be said for its weekday's collection.

Next week its Ajay Devgn's ‘Action Jackson' going to hit the theatres but one thing which we can't get is why the movies are not being promoted on a good scale? Lack of promotion is considered to be the major cause for the movies' failure and last few week's box office report says it all, no matter how much big star cast is attached to those movies.
