New Delhi: Its celebration time for legendary singer Udit Narayan who is all set to celebrate his 60th birthday today.
Udit Narayan has been one of the most renowned singers of Bollywood and has ruled the hearts of millions with his melodious voice.
Udit, a Nepalese playback singer, has worked with various music directors in his career of over 20 years like Laxmikant Pyarelal, Anand-Milind, Nadeem-Shravan, Rajesh Roshan, A. R. Rahman and several others.
However, he got a major breakthrough with Aamir Khan-Juhi Chawla starrer ‘Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak'.
While all the songs from the film were sung by him, the song ‘Papa Kehte Hain' won several accolades for Udit including the Filmfare Best Playback Singer award.
There was no turning back for the singer then and he went on to give some evergreen numbers of his singing career.
So far, Udit Narayan has sung over 15 thousand songs in over 30 languages.
He has been awarded with several civil honours as well including, Padma Shri in 2009, First Mohammed Rafi award in 2010 and Dadasaheb Phalke Film Foundation Awards in 2015 etc.
