These movies have essayed a pivotal role in awakening the citizens to recall the sacrifices and relentless effort our martyrs and freedom fighters made to free our motherland from the colonial rule. Ae mere pyare watan: The song from the film Kabuliwallah, an adaptation of a short story by Rabindranath Tagore, portrays the love for one's nation. 7. Ma Tujhe Salaam: AR Rahman gave a magical voice and tune to this song and won hearts all over. 8. Chak De India: The title track of Chak De India was high on energy. With vocal of Punjabi singer Sukhwinder Singh, the song was like a new-age national anthem. 9. Rang De Basanti: The title track sung by Daler Mehendi is one of the celebratory tracks which compels you to paint yourself in tri-colour of India flag. 10.
