Superstar Aamir Khan is planning to take a break from acting this year to focus on his duties as a producer. The 44-year-old actor said he was "really tired" after his whirlwind tour across the country to promote '3 Idiots', which released this Christmas.
"I have already completed the shooting for a film called 'Dhobi Ghat', which will come in the second half of the year. I think I will not shoot this year because I am really tired. I have three films lined up as a producer -- 'Peepli Live', 'Delhi Belly' and 'Dhobi Ghat'," Aamir told reporters.
The actor said he plans to release his films in international market. "I am concentrating on releasing them in international market because I believe that they have the potential to entertain the world audience," he said.
The actor, who will be seen in the role of a painter in wife Kiran Rao's directorial debut this year, is planning to spend his time reading scripts. "As an actor I will only read scripts and if any thing exciting comes up I might take it up," he added. The actor said he has been lucky in his selection of scripts and directors for the past 10 years.
"I try to take up only those projects which appeal to me. I also have the good fortune or the good opportunity to work with some very talented directors for the last 10 years. This has a lot to do with my success," said the actor. PTI
