Chennai, Mar 7: Having completed shooting for upcoming Tamil romantic-thriller Thalaivaa, Bollywood actress Ragini Nandwani says acting in the film was surprisingly easy because she plays a north Indian.
"Even though I was nervous to be cast opposite superstar Vijay, I didn't find acting tough in the film because I play a north Indian. All my lines are in Hindi, and therefore, playing my character was a cakewalk," Ragini told IANS.
She plays the second lead in the film, which features Amala Paul in the lead role. Other members of the cast include Rajiv Pillai, Sathyaraj, Abhimanyu Singh, Santhanam and Suresh.
"I don't just come and disappear in the film. I play an equally important part with good screen presence. In fact, Vijay and I have also worked together in a song," she added.
All of Ragini's part was shot in Mumbai over 25 to 30 days. The film is almost complete, but a last schedule in Australia is pending.
Queried about her working experience with Vijay, she said: "It was delightful working with him. He is very down-to-earth and highly trustworthy."
Thalaivaa is directed by A.L Vijay and produced by Chandraprakash Jain. G.V Prakash Kumar has composed the music for the film, which has cinematography by Nirav Shah.
Meanwhile, Ragini is in discussion for two Tamil projects.
