Mumbai, Oct 4: The song ‘Tata Birla Ambani Aur Bata' from director Prakash Jha's upcoming film ‘Chakravyuh', which ran into trouble with the Censor Board, is not meant to disrespect or hurt anyone, he told reporters here on Wednesday .
The Censor Board passed the song after a disclaimer, which clarifies that the names have been used symbolically and does not mean any harm or disrespect to any individual or brand.
“We have taken this song from the villages and it is their way of protesting.
In general, when we think of industrialists, we think of Tata and Birla. We have no intention to hurt or disrespect anyone. We have also voluntarily inserted a disclaimer about the same,” he said at the movie's music launch.
In the movie which explores Naxalism, Abhay Deol plays the role of a young rebel while new comer Anjali Patil and Manoj Bajpai play Maoists.
“The story is about two friends - Arjun and Abhay, who are stuck due to their beliefs and end up taking decisions, which later makes it tough for them to get out of the situation,” he said.
The movie is set to release on October 24.
