New Delhi: Sudha Shivpuri, the veteran actress passed away on Wednesday following the prolonged illness. The actress who was renowned for playing Baa in the popular hit series - 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi' had her last rite being performed at Oshiwara crematorium in Mumbai.
Apart from the family, several other TV celebs too attended the funeral. Sudha Shivpuri, aged 77, is survived by her two children - actress Ritu Shivpuri and Vineet Shivpuri.
Her husband Om Shivpuri had passed away in the year 1990. Apart form various daily soaps; Sudha had also done films like Insaaf Ka Tarazu, Hamari Bahu Alka, Sawan Ko Aane Do, Sun Meri Laila, Burning Train, Vidhaata and Maya Memsaab (1993).

Shilpa Saklani, Komolika Guha Thakurta, Tasneem Sheikh, Sushant Singh, Deepak Qazir, Shahbaaz Khan, Virendra Saxena amongst others paid their last visit to the actress.
However, no glimpse of TV actress-turned-Union Minister, Smriti Irani was seen.
Sudha Shivpuri started her career quite early at the age of eight, when her father died and her mother fell ill. But somehow she gathered her life and moved on.
In 1968, Sudha got married to Om Shivpuri but continued working in Delhi theatre.
