Mumbai: Filmmaker Karan Johar puts an end to the speculation of SRK-Alia starrer film getting shelved. The news of this Gauri Shinde directorial getting dismissed was doing the rounds of internet for the past few days.

However, producer Karan Johar took to twitter to bring an end to this speculation and said that the pre-production of the highly anticipated project is going on in full steam.

While there were reports that stated that due to creative differences between Karan and Gauri, the film may not be made. But Karan has denied such rumours stating that the principal photography of the movie will commence from middle of January.

Karan, who will be co-producing the film under his Dharma Productions banner along with Hope Productions and Shah Rukh's Red Chillies Entertainment, took to Twitter on Tuesday to share the news with his fans.

“@gauris film with @iamsrk and @aliaa08 commences principal photography middle of January! Pre production is on full steam now! Exciting,” Karan tweeted.

Well, this is surely a sigh of relief for the fans of the actors who were hoping to see this unusual pair on big screen.

Meanwhile, SRK's next ‘Dilwale' is hitting the screens on 18th December and Alia will be next seen in ‘Udta Punjab' opposite her ‘Shaandaar' co-star Shahid Kapoor.
