New Delhi: Sonam Kapoor and Deepika Padukone have never been best of friends. However, the two really got along like a house on fire when they came together on Karan Johar's popular chit chat show Koffee with Karan.
Post their stint on Koffee with Karan, reports about them being BFFs started doing the rounds. But it wasn't too long before their equation changed once again.
If the latest buzz is to be believed then, Deepika Padukone was sitting on the chair next to Sonam at a recent award function, but Sonam Kapoor requested the organizers to change the seat.
The source said that Kapoor approached the organisers and asked them to change her seat to avoid meeting the ‘Happy New Year' actress.
Entertaining her request, the organisers availed a seat to her in another area. However, the ‘Khoobsurat' beauty left the award function immediately after taking her award.
A source present at the award function was quoted by a daily saying, "Sonam walked in and asked the organisers to change her seat as she was not keen to meet Deepika, who was to be seated in the same area. She was then accommodated in another actors' group and immediately left after collecting her award."
The two actresses are sharing cold vibes since Sonam appeared on Karan Johar's popular talk show ‘Koffee With Karan' and made few comments on Deepika's dressing sense and PR team. So, both of them keep trying to maintain a safe distance from each other.
However, Sonam's spokesperson denies the buzz and says, "Sonam left long before Deepika even came in that was an hour before her award was announced. Moreover, she had to rush for a family dinner. Sonam was backstage and on her way out when Deepika walked in. They are absolutely cordial."
Sonam responds to the buzz by saying, "That is really funny."
Both Sonam and Deepika have shared icy vibes in the past but were said to have patched up during a recent film screening. But now this incident has raised questions over their patch-up.
