New Delhi: After a welcome response to his Marathi production "Poshter Boyz", Shreyas Talpade has announced plans to make the movie in Hindi to reach out to a pan-Indian audience.
Talking about plans to remake it in Hindi, Shreyas said in a statement: "I am getting a lot of requests from my friends in media and Bollywood that I should make the film in Hindi so that people across India can enjoy it. I am thinking of making it in Hindi, let's see what happens."
The film, which opened on 167 screens across Maharashtra Aug 1, has reportedly collected over Rs.1.6 crore in the first six days of its release.
Meanwhile, Shreyas is "overwhelmed" with the response to the movie which has been produced under his banner - Affluence Movies Private Limited - and directed by Sameer Patil.
"Our focus was to make an original, honest and clean family entertainer that would connect with the masses and we are glad that our efforts have been vindicated," he added.
The movie is about three ordinary people who find their pictures on a poster promoting vasectomy and how that error turns their lives around.
