Kolkata: Having met her 'childhood' cricket icon Sourav Ganguly at the sets of a reality show, 'Royal Bengal Tiger' actor Shraddha Das says it was like a tryst with the regal 'Bengal Tiger' on his home turf.
"You won't believe (that) I gave up watching matches on field after Dada hung his boots. My forever dream was to meet Sourav Ganguly one day. Thanks to my film career it happened last week," Shraddha told PTI here.
Recalling her experience she said, "Dada has a wonderful sense of humour and very respectful towards women." Shraddha, who informed 'Dada' was requested to grace screening of Royal Bengal Tiger, said, "If he couldn't considering the busy schedule, we wish he will watch the movie on some other day. And we all know he loves entertainers." "And nothing can be better than that. But will that ever happen?," Shraddha said when asked how was it to share screen space with the former Indian skipper in future if Dada ever faces the camera for any feature.
The 'Dil Toh Baccha Hai' actor, who shared the trials and tribulations faced by 'Aam Admi' Abhirup in Rajesh Ganguly-directed flick as his friend, said, "Abir Chatterjee (who essayed the role) was constantly after me in between shots and played pranks."
"In the film I egg on Abir's character whenever he feels overwhelmed with situations during his journey as common man as a colleague and best friend. They are such big names here, but you couldn't make oout from their demeanour " the popular Telugu star said.
"Yes there are two women in Abhirup's life - one his friend and confidante (Shraddha) and the other his wife (Priyanka Sarkar)," the Byomkesh a.k.a Common Man in Neeraj pandey scripted film, said.
"From Dirty Picture, Aparajita Tumi to Royal Bengal Tiger and being part of Balaji Telefilms projects we had been entrusted with the set-props of the films and art direction has evolved in different genre of films in past two years," Indranil Dey of 'Irony', having designed the set pieces, said.
