Mumbai, May 6: Sonu Sood is thrilled with the positive response to his crime thriller "Shootout at Wadala" from both the critics and the audiences alike and says the combination is something very tough to achieve.




"I always say that it is not easy to get the audience's whistles and the critics stars together. 'Shootout at Wadala' has got both and that is very encouraging that both the critics and the audiences have liked the film," the 39-year-old said here at the Haji Ali dargah.

Directed by Sanjay Gupta, "Shootout at Wadala" came out Friday.

Sonu was accompanied by Tusshar Kapoor, who plays gangster Sheikh Munir in the film that revolves around the encounter of gangster Manya Surve, played by John Abraham.

The public here was addressing Tusshar by his screen name 'Munir' and Sonu, who plays Dawood in the film, believes it is a parameter of success.

"People are liking the film. You saw they are calling him (Tusshar) Munir and when actors are called by character's name that shows the impact of the film," said Sonu, who had impressed as Chhedi Singh in "Dabangg".

"We are happy to be standing where we shot the first scene of the film. We had said that we would come here to thank the god if the film is a success and today we have," added Tusshar.
