Mumbai: Difficult to believe but true – producer Salman Khan did not visit the sets of the upcoming movie ‘Hero', which stars newbies Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty, even once.
Though the film is a home production and he is whole-heartedly supporting the debut of both the newcomers, he still never made an appearance on the sets of the film.
When the reason for his absence was explored, it turned out to be a rather endearing one. The ‘Dabangg' actor thinks that his presence will intimidate the young actors. As per the sources, he rather co-ordinated with director Nikhil Advani and gave his inputs, if any, to him but never intervened in the ongoing shoot.
The ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan' actor never wanted his presence to be daunting for the two debutants. It is learnt that he believes in giving space to his actors and directors.
As per a leading daily, a source has been quoted as saying, “The idea was not to intimidate the youngsters, who can't help but be enamoured by his presence. He would directly coordinate with director Nikhil Advani, if he had any inputs. Salman comes from the school of thought where being a hands-on producer means giving his actors and director their space.”
The film is due for release on September 11.
