The 75-year-old cinema veteran is the younger brother of Raj and Shammi Kapoor, and the son of Prithviraj Kapoor. He started acting in plays at the age of four, which were directed by his father and has worked as child artist in films. He later starred in a large number of Hindi films as well as a few English-language films.
