Mumbai, Dec 28: Kalpana Mohan, best remembered for the 1962 film Professor, in which Shammi Kapoor serenaded her as Aye Gulbadan, is suffering from respiratory and chest infection in an ICU of Pune hospital, says a media report.
Kalpana Mohan, 72, is recuperating at the Neuro Intensive Care Unit of the Poona Hospital and Research Centre in Pune.
The actress was admitted in the hospital after she developed respiratory and chest infection around 12 days back.
Though she was undergoing treatment in a private room, her condition worsened on Friday night after she had a convulsion on the left side of her body due to the chest infection following which she was shifted to the ICU.
Consultant Oncologist Dr M S Karandikar who is treating her said, she is suffering from chest infection and paralysis. She is on ventilator now.
Mohan's daughter Preeti Mansukhani and son-in-law Harish are with her.
They had come to India from USA in February this year after Mohan's health deteriorated.
