Mumbai: The makers of Shahid Kapoor-starrer "Farzi" are reportedly roping in some other actor to play the lead in the upcoming film as the "Haider" star has date issues.
The 34-year-old actor was supposed to star in director duo Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK's upcoming film "Farzi".
"We are rescheduling dates for 'Farzi'. We are figuring out things. We are working out the dates for this film of Shahid. But things look tough as he has back-to-back films -- 'Shandaar' and 'Udta Punjab'. So he will be busy promoting them as well," sources said.
"It is premature to say anything right now. May be in a week or so things will be clear," the sources added.
Gossip mills are abuzz that "2 States" star Arjun Kapoor might replace Shahid in "Farzi".
"We are thinking of other actors. We are considering Arjun. But nothing is finalised yet," the sources said.
"Farzi" was expected to go on floors in December last year but that did not happen. Then Shahid began shooting for "Shaandar" in London and returned to India in February to start filming Abhishek Chaubey's "Udta Punjab".
"Farzi" will be shot primarily in Mumbai.
