The current talk of the tinsel town and the much-awaited marriage of ‘Haider' actor Shahid Kapoor and Delhi based college pass-out Mira Rajput's wedding date has been finalised for July 7th and the venues for both marriage and reception have been fixed.
Starting from the preceding ceremonies to the honeymoon plans, here's everything you'd like to know –
Sangeet and ‘Mehendi' ceremony
Shahid and Mira's pre-wedding ceremonies will take place in Delhi on July 6. Both the functions will be celebrated by the near and dear ones of both the families on the same day.
For this, Shahid will fly to Delhi with his family on July 2.
Venue and arrangements for guests
It is learnt from a close source that the marriage will happen in closed confines of a farmhouse in Delhi on the very next day i.e. on July 7 while the guests will be made to stay in hotel Trident of Gurgaon.
The marriage will reportedly be attended by only 40 or 50 close members of the family while the reception bash will be thrown later.
The guest list
Though there are many speculations that the marriage will be attended by some of the famous Bollywood personalities however, nothing is confirmed so far. Rumour mills are also abuzz that Shahid Kapoor's ex-girl friend Kareena Kapoor Khan along with her husband Saif Ali Khan will be present at the marriage.
Some other names rumoured to be attending the marriage function are – Vikas Bahl, Madhu Mantena, Masaba and Vishal Bhardwaj.
Apart from the rest, Shahid's three mothers will also be attending the marriage bash. Shahid's biological mother Neelima Azim and Pankaj Kapoor's current wife Supriya Pathak Kapur, who has overseen all the wedding preparations along with Neelima's Azim ex husband Rajesh Khatter and his current wife Vandana Sajnani will bless the couple.
Bride and groom's wardrobe
It is learnt that designer Masaba Gupta, wife of Shahid's close friend Madhu Mantena, has designed the wardrobe of the couple.
The D-Day
The traditional Punjabi style marriage will be attended by only close friends and family members of Mira and Shahid. While initially the wedding venue was being speculated to be Greece, but now it is confirmed that it will held in Delhi.
Talking about the menu, it is said that it will be all vegetarian as Shahid's family is an ardent follower of Radha Soami Satsang Beas, a religious organization.
After the function, both Mira and Shahid will fly back to Mumbai.
The reception
The wedding reception will reportedly happen on July 12 in a 5-star hotel in Mumbai – Palladium Hotel, which will be attended by who's who of Bollywood.
The honeymoon
Sadly, there will be no immediate honeymoon for the newly-weds due to Shahid's busy professional schedule. Currently, the ‘Kaminey' actor is involved with the shooting of ‘Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa' where he is a guest judge. It is being said that he has discussed this with the production team of the show and hence will be flying off for his honeymoon to a foreign destination after a month.
